LG G Pad 2 with 1080p display rumoured for October launch

LG could be preparing another bid for a slice of the Android tablet market as rumours suggest a successor to its G Pad 8.3 is in the works.

The LG G Pad 2 will include an upgraded display with a 1080p resolution, according to social media tipster Leaksfly.


Under-the-hood improvements also appear to be on the cards as the tablet is listed with a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage.

The leak also suggests that the G Pad 2 will feature an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper, and Android 5.1.1.

LG has been tipped to launch the tablet in October, exactly two years since the original model debuted.
